Laser Cutting Wood
Cutting wood by laser can be a great way to create prototypes, models, gifts or even highly customized products. Sometimes creating really small pieces by hand or creating identical shapes can be tough, and if your model is big enough imperceptible errors will begin to add up. With laser cut pieces you can be sure that whatever you are trying to make will measure exactly what they have to measure, right down to the thousandth of a millimeter.
Remember that the laser will “burn” the material, leaving a dark edge on the pieces. It’s important to remember this detail so that you can predict how it will aesthetically affect your final product. We’re able to adjust the focus of the laser to achieve desired coloration across many types of wood.
Laser Etching and Engraving Wood
It is also possible to engrave a piece of wood with a laser. This works great to give some extra detail to the pieces of your product, like engraving windows and balconies if you are building and architecture model for example.
It can also be used to engrave any name, sentence or quote on any wooden product such a personal diary, jewelers, etc. and give it a personal touch. We’re able to create photo realistic etches on woods of any type.
Remember that the laser will burn the surface of the material, so the final color of the engraved area will depend on the kind of wood that’s used, but will always be darker than the original.
